We are an independently owned insurance agency with a history dating back to 1952 when Walter D. Stead, Joe Fuller’s stepfather, established the agency. Joe Fuller joined our ranks in 1967, bringing a wealth of accomplishments within the insurance industry. In 1971, Walter Stead recognized Joe’s contributions by adding him as a partner and renaming the agency to Stead and Fuller. Joe played a pivotal role in the Alabama Independent Insurance Association, holding leadership positions, including president, and prestigious roles as state and national director.

Throughout his career, Joe Fuller excelled in the political sphere, showcasing his ability to accomplish tasks. In 2002, Joe’s wife, Vickie, joined the agency as a new agent, contributing to the establishment of enduring relationships. In 2010, CD became a valuable asset to Stead and Fuller, significantly contributing to the agency’s growth. Unfortunately, Joe’s unexpected passing in 2021 disrupted the official name change and the process of making CD a partner. Despite this setback, in 2024, we successfully achieved a name change to Denson and Fuller Insurance.
